Race Spotlight- Fae

Updated: Jun 2, 2019

Fey Folk, mysterious and elusive tricksters that can broker a deal so iron glad you feel like you are in manacles.

Fey can take many forms, but they are mostly known for being Unseelie or Seelie, Unseelie being the less than personable, but the Seelie not as shiny and bright either.

We allow our Fey to take on the various forms of well know folklore Fey. Fauns, Satyr, Pixie, Nymph, Dryad, Seelie, Unseelie, Sprites, and within those lines.

Our Fey cannot become undead vampires. Vampires love the taste of Fey blood and it can be quite addicting. There is a story, that goes back generations, the First Duke fell in love with a half Fey who had a talent with the grape. So beautiful of body and spirit the Duke could not resist and a torrid love affair began until a visitor from the North came and the man died from the bite of another Vampire. Drained of his magic and essence he faded and soon slipped into the veil.

Fey have been known to be possessed of demon, either by blood or possession, and there are half breeds out there, malevolent little things on a good day, they are wicked and incredibly smart and if you ever broker a deal with a half fey-half demon, you may as well kiss your soul goodbye.

We tend to stick to the Sidhe (Pronounce Shee) lore but our Fey have stepped from the Hedge into Romania because of a strong pull of magic and supernatural energy, and they are just damn curious. Many have been about a long time, most left though with the death of Gregory Ravnos, never to return. Some have decided its time to once more come back to Speria and Suntomorat . Fey do not breed easily thus they revere life and children, they will never harm a child or anyone that is carrying child.

Fey are quick and light on their feet and probably gifted their cousins the elves with this same ability. They are magical creatures, they are able to manipulate and use magic and enhance it. Pity of a fool that cast a spell on a Fey it has always ended in a bad way for them. Never use magic on a fey unless you would like to well... just not a good idea.

Fey distrust vampires tremendously, they don't like becoming a snack for them and certainly not fond of the decay that some of them seem to bring with their very step. The death of the favored, Gregory Ravnos, struck a deep cord with the Fey and they have yet to forgive his bloodline, even though it was not the Duke that slew him, his love and addiction to Gregory brought about his demise as far as they are concerned.

"Winter’s nature was beautiful violence, stark clarity, the most feral needs and animal desires and killer instinct pitted against the season of cold and death—the will and desire to fight, to live, even when there was no shelter, no warmth, no respite, no hope, and no help."— Harry Dresden
